JOURNEYS
Journeys is an ambitious, multi-disciplinary project exploring migration and belonging through art. This animation brings to life stories shared in our Collection Conversations; which saw a variety of people from local community groups connecting with artworks from Dulwich Picture Gallery's collection.
Journeys: Collection Conversations is a commissioned short film from the Dulwich Picture Gallery. Through a series of workshops with local community groups, stories were collected over the course of 3 months inspired by the paintings from the Collection.
From those stories, 6 were selected and scripts were developed. The animation is a visual interpretation of the stories and experiences gathered and based on the original paintings.
The project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
